    UPDATE:

I ended up going to court by myself. It was my first court appearance (since I got CDL) and most likely the last one. The hearing lasted for about 10 mins and judge was very rude. I tried to argue "Adverse Driving Conditions" but judge stopped me in the middle saying that those rules do not apply to my case. She said that even her 90-years old mother was aware about the upcoming snow storm.

Since it was my first ticket and since I had a clean driving record the ticket was dropped to a "non-operable light" violation.

Lesson learned. Watch the weather, plan your trip accordingly. Thanks a lot guys, be safe out there.

    Thanks for the update.

If we all stopped every time they said there was a snow storm coming a lot of us would be parked a whole lot more.

We all know how accurate the weather predicters are.

under the new csa rules all violations must get reported and even though the judge did what she did in court the original charge will still show on csa.

You should be able to pay extra to keep it off your record. Call the clerk of court and ask. Why did the officer stop you? It wasn't an 11 hr violation. He had no way of knowing how long you had been driving till after he stopped you. Also you are allowed extra time to find a place to park. If you go to court you may get it thrown out. Good luck.

In order for it to show up, there has to be an inspection.

yes, you can leave if you are not buried under 10inches of snow, no ice on the driveway, and the plow has not cornered you in

    just out of curiosity

why would a local cop pull you over during a snowstorm? thats typically not the time cops are pulling over big trucks

Who or where did you get the idea from that you get extra time to park.
