The load I picked up from Costco was tail heavy.
Tandems all the way back and it was still 240 over.
They took a little product off so it would be legal, but I still need the tandems all the way back. I really hate that.
At least my DM let me take I-80 and I-25 down to Denver, when the fuel route had me going US 6 and I-70.

Start playing with those times.
If it is pre-loaded with a lot of time it usually means there is a window of time to make the pick up.
A load like that should never be accepted as-is in the original pplan. Learn to use the mac 9 to adjust the times to your own advantage. -
Maybe on the principal that the other driver chose not to stop. Plus, with sooo many witnesses, if he does not report and someone else does on his behalf, he might be in trouble to. Those would be my best guesses.

As far as I know, a hit and run is always considered a crime no matter where it happens. And a lot of times, when cops are called to a truck stop, they'll cite that since its private property that they can't do anything.
I was making a left turn once, in the truck, and had a car back up to give me some space (I was fine on space, it was a large intersection, no clue what he was thinking as my trailer tandems didn't encroach into his lane at all). But he ended up backing up into the car behind him... I had a nice view of that. I pulled over, put out my triangles, and waited for the cops to show up with the other drivers. They had proceeded through the intersection to pull over on the shoulder on the other side. I hung around because in at least my experience, those type of rear-end accidents are always pinned on the driver in back. So the police took me down as a witness incase the car infront tried to claim he was read-ended. -
Still here in Lathrop. The windshield that came in for my truck was busted so now have to wait for another so looks like late this afternoon so not out of here until morning now. Saw two of these today come through the fuel island. View attachment 80367

Loves Webbers Falls where the wind comes whipping down the plains. Got lucky yesterday with an early l/u. Got under this in Talladega. Wanted to bobtail over to the speedway and see if I could stay up high in the turns. Oh well mebbe next time. Might have a snag here. I'm under 200 out going to a Lowes store. It's a drop but not scheduled til 12th at 10 am. Already called outside chance I can drop tomorrow. Guess I'll have an extra request for bed time prayers. Parked in back so I can get SOME exercise walking to store but afraid these frogs back here may be louder than duel fridge units sammiching me. (G) Great day driving I-40 west, even missed most of the potholes.
Saw two on their sides today. Sure hope the drivers are ok. Also got to see two groups of snow geese feeding on their flights back up north. Trigger finger got itchy. One field had 2-3 thousand birds the other about 500. Sans the season being open sure wished I could have pulled over and listened to the one form of honking I greatly enjoy.
Keep em upright and tween the lines friends. -
Rest stop at mm 224 on I-70 in Kansas, shut down for a 10. Had an easy live load this morning in Windsor, CO, fought a little bit of traffic down through Denver and the airport ramp mess, then smooth sailing east on I-70.
This is a light load, about 7000 lbs. Just looked at my fuel performance and it's showing 10.3 mpg.
Called the customer in Tulsa, OK to see if I can deliver early. Receiving went home for the day, but the receptionist was very nice and said to call their CSR tomorrow morning when I'm inbound and there's a good chance I can do a drop and hook instead of live unload. If not I'll try to find a nice casino parking lot somewhere near Tulsa. -
Still sitting at loves in Jackson, TN waiting to leave for my 15 miles of drive and live unload. Got to see a contractor truck for Schneider take the nose off a PTL truck and fold in his steer. Then he took off like a bat out of you know where. Gave police the description and what I saw and they managed to get him up a couple exits at another truck stop. He knew what he did, the crunching was loud, was 2 rows behind me and woke me up with enough time to look and see and watch him jump out real fast and go back and look then run and jump back in and take off. Geez people....
OceanDan Thanks this.
