Sleep in the top bunk, i don't think so more like on the cat walk chained up to the tire rack.

I agree with Chromedome. Paul my trainer has a student right now that he doesn't feel confident in letting him drive while he sleeps so he is up the entire time and is averaging around 3 hrs of sleep. As Chrome said the exceptions could be limited to students that have had prior experience. The trainers need to make sure the Student has all the knowlege and tools necessary to operate solo not just get in and drive. That is what i liked about paul. regardless of your experience he would evaluate your skills before giving you full control. He is very detail orientatied. He expects certian things to be done at specific times so you get in the habit of doing the things you are supposed to do. like your check calls, Pre and post trips ETC . He expects you to do all of the backing and he is out of the truck and on the ground watching. he will let you attempt it on your own and will only step in if it looks like you are doing it unsafe or are really struggling. He will also quiz you through out the day on all different aspects of driving and company policy. It is his way of evaluating your knowlege, skill and understanding. Like i said it is my opinion he is the company's best trainer and not to mention one hell of a nice guy. JJ RanchLast edited: May 30, 2008

Chrome just to let you and Juniper know that i got the info. Thanks.
I made a short jump to Ohio last night i think somewhere around cleveland on the trnpk. I hope the weather is dying down in the Midwest. after a quick lol 10 hr break i will start my driving marathon to Ca with the break in it looks like a total of 13 and 1/2 hrs of total driving in this 24hr period. I just hope I-80 is open in Ne when i get there. if all goes well i should be in SLC Late sun Early Mon. then off to CA for my drop. Take care JJRanch. -
Looks like i will be hitting the storm about the Chicago Area well there goes my clean truck. I had to wash it the other day. It had entirely to many victims plastered all over the front the truck, so the Bug killer Volvo is ready for its next round of Victims. now it looks like in a few hrs the Bug Killer will be dirty again. I wonder if Raid makes a coating like rainx. It would keep me from using alot of windex.
There should't be a real big problem with Mosquitoes in the north and southeast this year because i think i took most of them out with the 18 wheeled bug killer. I think i am driving a 80.000 dollar bug zapper because the lights draw them in and the grill takes them out. like road kill but on a much smaller scale. Well thats it for now i will post again later. JJRanch. AKA JJTrukin.

Yayyyyyyy The Owner Op Department just sent JJ a message they will have the new Petes in Next week!
So he is going to contact his F/M and see if she can get someone to take his load from SLC to Cali.
Which means The four legged kids and I can he be on the truck late next week
.
I can see the Blue Beacon truck wash getting rich of us when he gets this truck. -
Hi Jess & JJ,
Hey, that is great news about the truck. JJ ... maybe my training class could break it in for you .... a few town miles, a few highway miles, the first scratch or ding so you don't have to worry about that. I see that Chrome was nice enough to act as a msgr service
..... thanks to him !! Running low on time right now, so I will post more later. fyi ... passing thru Boise enroute to SLC about 9 pm Sat nite. I will be on the big grey dog ... but if there was something that you needed from home, I would be happy to help out . ....... junipersage

Lol I'm sure JJ would be all for the training class breaking it in
, I think he would cry if it got a lil scratch on it.
JJ is about 1600 miles from SLC now so I am guessing he will get there Monday sometime. Thank you so much for the offer, but he should be good until he can get back to the house.
Have fun on that long Bus trip, hope you packed a good book! -
JJ try putting some liquid dishwasher detergent on the front of the truck for the bugs. I put it on my boat and when I go to wash it, the bugs come off. WARNING: Try this if your truck is made out of fiberglass and not metal.
