In this day and age that is BS Even back in the day it was bS, because of the billing cycle for the payroll companies but a necessity, This day and age if you start on Tuesday and the cycle ends on Thursday you should get a check on That Friday
All that pay delay is that the employees are floating the company.
Are we a bad trucking company?

BTW - The op is a female. She called w/ a job offer and the only reason I called back is she didn't have an accent! When she told me her location I laughed and asked if she was aware of the stigma attached to Chicagoland outfits. When she said no I suggested she come here to see why she can't fill her seats. The owner is Lithuanian...

KW Cajun and AfterShock Thank this. -
By golly Patty, you're on a roll.
I think you just might be right on both counts, fed-up drivers and
the Original Poster is recruiting. Wander on down to the section
TRUCKING JOBS, and look for another thread started by none
other than Beyond Transport, titled Give Chicago A Chance
It seems to have been posted around the same time as this thread.
When I read it there were no replies, --- yet. But it wouldn't Shock
me if it disappears.
Good call Patty! :smt045

I do appreciate that none of you tore into her like a pack of rabid dogs! It's a good balance to have new members with a different perspective.
AfterShock Thanks this. -
No kiddin'?
Who'da thunk it was penned by a female? Not that it really matters.
Interesting though, ............................. how we seem to assume, in many
instances, that we're readin' writin' written by a male. She didn't write with an accent either.
SaY WhaT?!
If you don't mind my askin', was her call just a coincidence or are
you on a job-huntin list? I gotta say I think your suggestion to
log-in and read the writin' on the wall here was great. Does it
seem odd to anyone that she's unaware of the seedy reputation
associated with that segment of the Big truck truckin' industry
in that area?
I do hope that the OP does take
your suggestion/advice to visit TTR, Janet. Recruiting is
selling. Shouldn't a sales person be familiar with the product
they're sellin' and reputation of same?
It'd be cool if the OP signed in and joined the conversation.
Maybe give us a peek behind the scenes at Beyond Transport.
Perhaps then she wouldn't find it necessary to ask if it's a
good company, --- or not.
Ya reckon.
BTW, ThanX for your BTW, Janet.
Interplanet Janet Thanks this. -
Me too.
That's refreshing.I couldn't agree more. -
I'll call her later to encourage her participation.TruckDuo and AfterShock Thank this.
-
I think that'd be interesting if she agreed.
If she's apprehensive, maybe you could
kinda interview her over the phone(?)
She's well written, easy to read, so I'm
thinkin' it'd be great to read first-hand.
Once again, ThanX Janet.

This sums it up perfectly...
