We use Reitnouer aluminum units.
For the most part, they are pretty good.OneCosmicGuy and celery425 Thank this. -

I've been well satisfied with my 2013 Great Dane which I've had 2 years. I was checking truckpaper this morning to see how I was doing on loan balance vs. value. Pleasantly surprised there are 2012's and 2013's asking the same price I paid new for mine.

I agree with 315wheelbase. Doonan. Get underneath one and it is self explanatory if a guy knows what he is looking at.

I'm not saying celery425 is a troll; but looking back at the damndest questions he has asked I really do wonder. You gave is 3 manufacturers to choose from. Was this a multiple choice question or are you just fishing for "opinions"?? Like so many of your other questions?? LOL..........

Out of the three, Fontaine! Spread axles are the best as far as not humpin the road and breaking welds. Been years since I pulled a step deck though!celery425 Thanks this.

Regardless, I have the same question actually. Looking at buying 53' step decks - not sure on new, used, makes, brands, etc. Any useful info would be much appreciated. The sales brochures make them all sound wonderful....celery425 Thanks this.
