It was way before my time but i looked up VW on youtube and seen a video of a vw bug pulling a camper, i always wonder what would that be like pulling? In my thoughts would like be pulling a 24ft poontoon with a 4cy ranger two wheel drive= asking for trouble been there done that,. it pulled ok but getting it out of the water was a differnt thing. lol k just wondered if anyone was around when those camper/vw bug was on the road. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpwH9WeVEfU

Dont forget they are air cooled. Talk about danger of overheating!

My first car was a 67 VW Bug. It was ugly but I paid $500 cash for it in 85 and drove it all through high school. Even bondo'd up the body damage and painted it with spray cans in my folks garage. Not to mention the constant mechanical fixes and the battery shorting on the back seat if anyone rode back there. Ah, the good old days!
