Good Morning fellow truckers, Hope everybody is having a great day out there on the big road. I'm 57, happily married with one youngin left in the nest, my 11 year old little buddy. I've been driving professionally since 1977. My adventure started out in straight trucks and in 1988 I graduated to the wonderful world of Over The Road Trucking. My first Company was Carolina Western Express. I fell in love with those big red 359 Petes that they had back then. I ran out of Kings Mtn, and Fayetteville, NC. Some days it's Living the Dream, others it's Nightmare On Elm Street! What is my outlook on trucking you ask? Well, I've always looked at Trucking as a profession, a career. I've never thought of it as just a job. Yes there have been a bazillion changes over the years and not all of them good. I don't make the rules, I just have to play by them. I'm a "do the right thing" kind of guy. I'll give a rookie a hand or advice and I'll listen to words of wisdom from my piers and my elders. Most of my experience is in Dry Van operation but I have pulled reefers and doubles. I hold Hazmat, Doubles and Tanker endorsements and I have been a truck driving instructor at a truck driving school in the West Michigan area. My outside interests are my 2009 Harley Davidson Electra Glide, Shooting pool, fishing, and chasing my very beautiful wife around until she lets me catch her. Any time I can spend with my boy and my Lady is good time, and sometimes it's GREAT TIMES! They both like to go with me out on the road when they can. I have two homes. One here in west Michigan and the other is out there with you. Keep it safe out there!
God Bless,
Stormryder
Sorry, I hope that didn't sound like I was calling you old.
