I've heard about a grocery thing they have down in the area that runs like that, but it's a tough one to jump on board with.
Anywho, I've still got my pickup to pay off as I mentioned earlier and then of course there's "being too close to CA to my liking" again.(after running off from there, I'm still reluctant to make any permanent stay there.)
Then of course I also feel as though living in a slower paced, small town for the past few years might've "softened" me to dealing with the big city stuff.

Definitely felt like everyone was driving their cars like F-15s when on the freeways there a month ago.

160-180$ i say look somewhere else there is something better i am sure.
How about jumpin on the LTL wagon like fedx of ups?
Even if cost of living is cheaper you still have to plan ahead and put money aside for retirement or tough times.
If it's an option look onto something specialized that's where the $ is.
Good luck in beautif sunny Arizona!

Ain't enough money for me to bother with, but a paycheck is a paycheck if you need one.

    Retirement? What's that?

I got a bit too hyped up for this move a little too early, and now I pretty much came down off that high.
I'm just going to stick to the deal I have for as long as possible until I find something equal in pay in the Phoenix area, or elsewhere it doesn't get iced up in the winter.
If it gets cold, fine, just no precipitation or water of any type.

$180.00 a day for HAZMAT. Stay put they are low balling you. That endorsement should be as highly valued as your CDL. Dont give a place like that the time of day.

    bentstrider83 and BigBluePeter Thank this.

$250 a day at least. I'd be surprised if you were done after 8 hours every day too.

That's around what I've been typically making a night on these Select Dairy Co-Ops
All in all, a sweet deal for non-HAZMAT should my schedule be left alone for awhile.

I guess I should've jumped on this when it was still open.
The pay might've been low, but after doing some fact-finding for a few months after, the shifts are a set start-time each day and you're pretty much out there between 8 and 12 hours each night depending on how the mines/facilities are moving.
The terminal just removed the listings from the website, so now it's all a matter of just watching the site, and keeping in contact with the TM and driver safety guy down there.

If I could get out this area and transfer down to that before the roads start icing up over here again, that would be an accomplishment.
