Directions to Fresh Direct Market in Long Island NY

Im thinkin MAYBE i should try your way--lol--IM not a native--I just cut my teeth runnin produce up there as a youngin--and my Gramps had an ol friend--retired local M&M Driver(if you remember them)who when I first started runnin up there in the 70s--used to meet me at my 1st drop and ride with me showin me around---thats how he got me from Queens or Bklyn--up to the point back in the day to avoid the tri-boro toll...so I just always did it that way....

 

Well morning time local guys making drops can spoil the Madison ave route bottle necking it up pretty good triple parking. Aside from that part of the day it's just stoplights that hold it up. I like it. I'll try your way next time. As I said I use it because I'm trying to get up on the deegan. But it may well be 6 of one half dozen of the other.

 

Glad things worked out for ya....didnt see your last post late yesterday or I would've eased your mind about the route...In many cases NYC overhead markings can drive ya crazy...but that's a whole different discussion....

 

coming off the 59th street bridge, far right lane to turn left onto 2nd ave, i go down to 57th street, its safer and faster

make that left and then the left onto 1st ave

 

Safer? Where's the fun in that? LMAO...Thanx for the tip...
