40cpm for flatbed is so low did not become a trucker to work hard physically. The mental strain, desolation, stress and anxiety are enough.

I think Prime is paying 43cpm now just make sure to have them email that promised rate of pay as with any trucking company recruiters lie their ### off get it in writing or get $crew3d

TMC also does percentage. I was just using the CPM scale to keep it consistent, you would most likely make more CPM by going % of the load.

Maverick is also flatbed but by the time you deliver your first load you already have $1,600 in bonus money alone coming to you. They seem to get great reviews and their drivers are happy.

Other starters may pay better too, I will have to research it some more. I am sure CR England is somewhere in the top 50 or top 100 LOL

No, I think you're right, I just couldn't remember if I was told 42 or 43. I will fix it.

Yes Prime is one of the top paying starter companies.

    1. Maverick .44
    2. Crete .43
    2. Prime .43
    3. Pride .42
    4. TMC .40
    5.Melton .37
    6.Millis .36
    7. Roehl .34
    8. Celadon .33
    8. Swift .33
    9. Stevens .28
    10. CR England .25

Going to check out some of the other starter companies that don't list their cpm online and keep an updated list for people trying to find a company to start with, by the end of it I am sure Stevens & CR England will still be at the bottom of the list.

Edit: At this point, no reason any newbie should be working for less than .40 a mile. Swift is announcing another pay raise tomorrow(technically today) as well, so we'll see how that shakes up.

Assuming 2,500 mile a week average between Prime and CR England is a $450 a week difference. :Transportation cost

Don't forget about APUs on the Prime trucks, and possibly inverters. Maverick has APUs as well. CRE is just putting out there how bad they really are.
