Magnum LTD may worth checking out. They start at .36 plus $3,000 signing bonus.
Looks like they have dedicated runs out of Sioux City, IA as well after 1 year experience, but you could get it sooner if you're doing a good job. Not sure if Sioux City is far from you or not though. But looks like they do a lot in and around Iowa.

yep they are on my short list I will be starting a 6 week program on the 6th and have talked to magnum and hummer they wont let me apply until school starts
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Hate their trucks it's everything bad about prime trucks but the pay is even worse. I'll research their L/P

I think this is a very good idea, and will help new guys tremendously, but I feel not factoring accessorial pay into the equation makes the comparison apples to oranges. Someone making .50 a mile with no accessorial pay may well end up making half has much as someone working for a company with a more robust pay package.
Not sure if you will want to add us to your list because we are a tanker company, but I will throw Superior Carriers out there. All drivers are paid .50 loaded/.40 empty. -
Accessory pay very is important to know however I felt it would be easier to present this way, and then people can view the list and then investigate the other details they need to finalize a decision(i.e APU's, Local/Dedicated, Detention pay, tarp pay, etc)
I think I am going to scrap restricting tankers, because we already have flatbed and really what we want is a solid list of good paying companies for newbies.
But just to verify Superior Carriers takes new CDLs and/or trains them? Also this is the rate a newbie would get their first day solo? -
Yup, we take new guys right out of (company approved) schools. I and several others on the forum started here. That is the pay you get the first day you are on your own, everyone makes the same.
UKJ Thanks this. -
I see Pride Transport on your list @.42? New Drivers start out at $450 per week for phase one (1 month), .14 cpm for phase two - team driving (1 month) and .30 cpm solo (1 month) Then after that, .32 cpm for the remainder of the 1st year. Not sure what I missed.
I too would like to know who pays new drivers at least .36 to start on the west coast? Seems like most of the descent companies are east.UKJ Thanks this. -
I will check it out, thanks for the correction. The first post is outdated and I can't edit it. You can see the updated results here http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/entry.php?b=6419
Not sure which ones are west coast, but you should be able to find something there. -
Anyone know who can beat CR England for lowest paying? lol
-
Carolina Cargo. .10 per mile. Chinatown loves to send people over there, I swear he gets a recruiting bonus for them.
