Well, almost got a month without downtime and this morning......#6 injector delayed timing....so, either it's the injector or the harness....shop's working on it now. Had a bad miss when I turned it on this morning.....my mechanic says it could just be the harness, if not then do a six pack (injectors and harness) $2500-2,700 in parts....great!!!

How many miles on this set of injectors? They don't last forever. With the set of 6 new ones, you will see 0.5 - 1.0 better MPG.
-
I had issues with N3 injectors on my old truck. two of them were cracked and I had fuel in oil. one was with problem like yours. make sure to buy reliabilt brand . nothing else.
-
A six pack of injectors should be about 2100-2200 or less at a dealer. Did that 2500-2700 include labor?
-
2500-2700 just part cost. the labor would be around 6-7 hours
-
If you have the ability to get them somewhere else call around and price them. I just quoted a set for a customer and a six pack was going to cost me 1900.00. Then you need a gasket. No way it should be that high. R414703002S injectors.

Truck has 850K and, as far as I know their original. The $2500 to $2,700 was for parts only Injectors, harness and gasket....they found some oil on the harness connectors, so their gonna try changing the harness first...if that doesn't do it then in go the injectors...btw, this is my company shop, so their only charging me for labor once...
Smellfunny Thanks this. -
Well, tomorrow I'll get the Butcher's Bill, but they changed (all new parts)
1. Valve Cover
2. Valve Cover Gasket
3. Injector harness
4. Coolant Reservoir tank
5. Flex Pipe (under the rear stack)
6. PM service
Hopefully the harness takes care of the injector issue, all the other stuff is for unrelated issues I knew about (except for the Coolant Reservoir, that they found out about)....HOPE this is all for at least a couple months...
The truck was run and re-diagnosed (hooked up to the laptop) and came out clean, so ...fingers crossed!!!Smellfunny Thanks this. -
The damage was $1,800.....well, guess it could've been worse...
Smellfunny Thanks this.
