and it sure is nice to be able to quickly roll my straps up with a strap winder!

I turned it down for this job. the money was pretty close to being the same, but the weekends off and home most every night sold me on the local gig. the dental and vision ($30 per month) was much needed, the vacation and holiday time off were unexpected but definite bonuses.
The company I work for now called me about 20 minutes after my road test with FedEx wanting me to come in for an interview so of course, I obliged to see what they had to say.
Turned out to be much better overall. probably about $100 a week lower than what FedEx was offering, but I can live with that. The benefits, vacation, holidays, weekends off makes up for...and nothing will ever beat sleeping in your own bed at night. lol. -
I'm glad you like your new job.Nice photos too.
X-Country Thanks this. -
FYI y'all, X-Country is not a he/dude, she's a she/gal

X-Country, welcome to the dark side, sorry I was a little harsh on you over on the other thread that got closed but now your over here on the dark side so you can take the tough talk
You'll actually find some really nice people over here and one or two anal cavities (myself included) but the rest of the people here are first class.X-Country Thanks this. -
You're already doing it wrong. The writing is supposed to be in on your strap and your gloves are way to clean! lol
-
lol. nope. i throw 'em over the top and then give 'em a twist on both sides of the flatbed. keeps the straps from flapping in the wind and giving you the false impression of appearing that they are loose while driving.

cant help with the gloves.
MJ1657 Thanks this. -
I hope you noted my sarcasm.
I put a twist in mine as well but I wind them with the writing in, Crazy right????X-Country Thanks this. -
Looks like you won't have to worry about running around in broken hodgepodge equipment.
X-Country Thanks this. -
If you aren't hauling anything terribly tall most of the time, it might be worth taking off the air fairing on top - possibly save a few pennies on fuel?
-
Well, I jumped the gun with how highly I spoke of Werner when I first started...and it turned ugly. So I'll wait a year or so and then maybe write a review.
not my decision. I just drive the truck where they tell me.
ain't that the truth!MJ1657 Thanks this.
