There's no way. You argue with people when they say how bad they are. If you're not getting something to send drivers over there then I'd be really surprised. It's the absolute bottom of the barrel with horrible scores, bad equipment and extremely low pay. You cannot possibly be sending people there without getting something. If not, you have no conscience.

And that's why you ran right over here to defend that ###### company. The worst of the worst.

If you actually followed Chinatown's posts, you would notice that he recommends a variety of different companies for different individuals, depending on their situations.
Hopefully this otherwise good thread doesn't fall into the pits of a flame war like threads often do.
I was informed of another smaller outfit that offers free lodging and training at a 2 month community/tech college in Alabama in exchange for a year long contract: Evergreen Transport. Haven't read good things about their miles and don't know their pay, but there is limited info that isn't promising. They do state that all of their drivers get home almost every night. They do dry bulk I believe..
Also, CTL transport is worth looking into. They're a Comcar tanker company that offers training. They are the first company I am going to apply to once I start. They aren't Superior carriers tier from what I have surmised, but they aren't Werner either. I have read that their local offerings suck, but OTR is ok for a starter tanker company. Don't remember their rates I have read, but they weren't unreasonably low. -
Just a little more info on this Carolina Cargo he keeps pushing. The owner is even a con, being charged with Tax Evasion
http://www.southcarolinaradionetwor...rucking-company-pleads-guilty-to-tax-evasion/
Looking in other areas of the web, CC charges the drivers for their fuel if they go over their allotted amount. Try doing that to someone making literal slave wages. The junk equipment, the forced teaming, the convict atmosphere at that company is toxic. Hopefully that will end the promoting of that company on this thread. -
I like the guy. But a lot of times he pushes some really bad companies and then tries to help people who really have no business out here into trucks. He's not out here anymore, I am. I take issue with that.

I can understand that I guess, about you two having different views on how to help people and the industry as a whole. I believe both of you are doing what you believe is right, and not shilling for companies.

Yes, teams. I didn't add that company to your list; don't know who did. I commented because it's on this thread.Last edited: Mar 26, 2015

I believe that Carolina Cargo, who opened a school for its company (of 84 trucks), who filed chapter 11, and who's owner did time for tax evasion is a company to stay as far away from as possible. Especially .10/ mile. Nobody should work there.

I added them to the list but I need some clarification is the .11 split between two drivers giving them .05 each or is it .22 cpm split giving them .11 cpm each? I moved it into the teams section since it's not a solo rate.
-
its .42 cpm split on TOTAL miles so after fuel, mileage and on-time you would be looking at .16-.21 on TOTAL miles per driver they avg 6000 every 5-7 days depending on how hard the team runs....... they say your first three trips expect 600-700 a trip once you reach mileage your looking at 800-900 a trip and then if you hit fuel bonus anywhere from 800-1200 every 5-7 days and they pay every time you turn in a trip pack...... be careful who you listen to some dont get all the info before speaking.
