Are you saying that CRE and CRST and Weiner should go on strike? That would be funny. It would be like a bunch of abused women with black eyes refusing to do housework until they get better treatment. Why not leave and go elsewhere? Contrary to popular abused truck driver belief, not all of us are running for minimum wage, and getting beaten down.
How can jack wagon companies stay in business.....

That music video is the best thing I've ever seen on this site...
Thank you.Wild Murphy Thanks this. -
Best part for me is the end with the little voicemail, clearly the owner(or whoever it is) has no clue or cares about "BC". The sound of apathy in his tone of voice makes it much funnier when you hear how they operate and treat drivers.Brandson Thanks this.

That's the main problem I see....losers with headphones on and baggy pants....bringing the ghetto lifestyle to trucking.
Who's gonna actually hire these guys for slave wages?
I guess if that's whats coming around, looking for work, might as well send them out to lernin somthin.

Given what I had read here on this website, many, many times, there are drivers at home from these companies waiting either a driver trainer or orientation. Since these mega-carriers are not unionized, all strikers would be fired and arrested if they stay on company property, so I see no good of any so-called strike. The amount of applications sitting on the various desks at these companies, alone, are staggering
They don't have to be scared, they have to be realistic, when they even apply for jobs at these "starter companies".
A starter company pays x amount per hour or mile, and that's it. Try and find (say) a factory job or McBurger job where YOU get top pay as soon as YOU walk in the door. It just ain't gonna happen. YOU have to work your way up the pay scale. Mechanics, Police officers, Nurses, just about every profession has a starting wage pay scale. When fresh out of training.
No one, and I mean no one WITH OUT experience can be demanding of top tier wages till they prove themselves, and EARN the way to the top tier of wages.
Any experienced professional, in ANY industry/line of work, CAN BE demanding of higher wages, as long as they have met that experience level the employers seek.
And if a new prospective employer refuses to pay higher (top tier) wages for such said highly experienced professional?
Then move on, or if noting else comes even closer to the "demanding salary", accept the job till one comes along so the bills can still be paid.
But to say that these starter company drivers should go out on strike, is pure horse-radish.
Why don't YOU go out on strike, union or not, and let us know how you're doing standing in the unemployment line?
You got what, under a year of driving, according to your bio, and you know the answers? And striking is your solution?HuntmanOTR Thanks this. -
Math is not a strong suit for most. At .25 cpm and you take into the crap one does for free. The hourly wage is way below min wage.

The problem is there are a lot of "experienced, high worth" drivers also who are all too happy to accept sub par wages which drives down wages for new guys getting into it. How many guys you see on here or out in the field 20yrs experience quitting one mega for another still working for peanuts? That hurts us new guys too because wages are being suppressed due to some drivers own stupidity.
