Yeah but then again the probably had one axle up less resistance I'm guessing u probably don't have 6×2 or run in direct all extra for only 1 mpg better I don't see a ruturn on investment until 2035 maybe. Not to mention fuel prices right now.

At least it looks stouter than the old crossover supports... They must have really lightened up the saddle brackets if they need a cross brace.

Agreed. That looks like a tank support after-thought. Looks like it's beggin' to hook on sumpthin'.

Driven many thousands of miles off-road, plowing snow with the bumper, busted though frozen creeks, axle-deep mud having to be drug through with bed truck or Cat and have never torn off a cross-over.

"a cross-over" may not be the same as this crossover.
Curious if yours was very similar vehicle, with an identical cross-over brace, in every aspect? If not, even slight differences may make it an apples to oranges comparison.
I've also spent a lot of time in rough terrain and off road, and have never torn off a crossmember either.

However, never did I have any crossmember or cross-over (as this one is) that is so "independent" of other framework, and so near the center-span distance between the steer & rear axles, and with so much inviting clearance (top & all around) to catch hazards, rather than them harmlessly bouncing off/under.

Not saying it's a proven hazard... but many aspects of the design definitely makes it far more prone to be one, imo.

We are in the process of putting together an annual report. The focus of the report will be the financials behind purchasing a high cost glider. We will post this report on TTT also. To answer your question...would we use the same...no way, no how! We would have designed the truck differently also. We have learned our lessons. It would be the height of insanity for us to repeat such egregious mistakes. Make no mistake though, we are responsible for hiring those involved to build our truck. Looking backwards in our life we have fared very well in avoiding situations like this. We made a bad decision to entrust the building of our truck with Pittsburgh Power. Live, Learn and Move-on.

This is a post from the owners when repeatedly asked about paying for this. This sounds like a responsible, non-koolaid drinking response.

The myth of how great Kevin Rutherford is, it's finally dead. The "Signature Truck" needed to be redone by people who knew what they were doing. And when the truck failed, the owners were left holding the bag from the insanely bad advice from the Snake Oil King Kevin RutherFRAUD and the absolute disaster of a build by Pittsburg Power, Kevin's "shop of choice". Remember the XM thread where he came running? Didn't do it this time, did he. But he's reading. Kevin: your stupid is showing.
