well shop just called and i'll be in a loaner at least through sun-mon.

needs an egr and 4 different sensors. no egr in the parts room have to order it. you'd think with the size of the fleet and that being the part that it is they'd have one in stock.

hopefully by the time they turn me back through charlotte Monday and I can get back there they'll have it done.

Well at least you are not at a dealer, it may be a lot worst like, well we are booked up until thur, that's when we can look at it, then would have to order the one sensor they ran out of, and it would not be there until the following Monday, and we would have the truck back to ya Tuesday.

Yeah last time we went the dealer route it went in on Thursday and I didn't get it back till the following Wednesday.

Still don't like driving someone else's truck though any more than I'm sure they don't want me driving it.

Hopefully midday day monday I'll be back in mine. He said it was already torn down just need the egr and put it back together.

its no fun being in a loaner. I have lucked out with my truck I have only been in a loaner for 4 days. me and another driver in Syracuse got called a few weeks ago asking what kind of truck we wanted. were both going back into a Volvo, they put in the order now its just hurry up and wait for them to get in.
your burning the tires up on your truck fm, ive got 85000 miles since we started. I had last Monday off and came out Tuesday at 9 and got in Friday at noon, I ran 1992 and had 18 f.e. not to bad for a short week. and this week I ran 2689 with 24 f.e. that was 4 Syracuse loads and 1 Jamestown. and for the first time since I have worked here I didn't have one dead head this week.

I think thats what's truly wrong with my truck lol

it had an easy life with the previous driver he was LTL and had it since it was new and in a year and a half he only put 157k on it

8 months in I just turned 257k on it. I'm wearing it out and it doesn't like it lol

Well look at the positive, you may get a new truck if it keeps going===LOL

But on the other side, the issue----if you are in it much longer I would just ask for another truck, other people have been in your shoes, and with a little pushing - not much- they were put in another truck--no-problem--just a heads up for ya.

Hi guys. I have 7mo experience and have to fax my resume over to your lady recruiter. I have a choice between ltl or OTR out of Leesport.
How difficult is running Northeast out of Leesport as far as Navigation and Backing?
How difficult is the OTR position?
She said avg pay is 80k in ltl and 60k otr. Is this true or is this more Vegas dreaming? Lol.
I have read many pages out of this post but I am deciding if I should do LTL or OTR.
Any help you can give me I appreciate drivers.

ptp out of leesport is not difficult. all drop yards are simple to get to and have lots of room. most backhauls are easy, a few are a pain but manageable. I run out of Syracuse averaging 2500 a week and 18 f.e. since the first of the year. I leave Monday and usually home Friday night, as it sits right now I should be able to do 65k with no bonuses or benefits. timing and trip planning is everything in the northeast.

ltl you will earn that 80k and with 7 months I would pass on it. lots of small stores and tight places, with a day cab will be a pain, if your using a sleeper can make it much more difficult.
