That may put a damper on the hiring process.I don't know of any companies that hire ppl while under a contract with another motor carrier.

Yes they do, they seem happy every time I call in to give my monthly payment.
Ima find out on Monday if they also sound happy when I ask to take me back as a driver.

Hopefully they take me back at least, I'll deal with them for a year or two. I got my tax return refund to hold me up for now if they take long to assign me a truck again.

If you didn't actually work for them then why would you even tell anyone about it on the next App?

I actually did work for them,I was driving team with a trainer for 6 weeks. So I guess the training period is considered working because I was getting paid for it.
I just never took any loads by myself after training was over. I was never assigned a tractor at all

I would consider consulting a attorney, even with them training you and their contract, you have a reasonible expectation of employment to fulfill your end of the deal.

3 weeks really isn't reasonable you may have an easy way to quit having to pay them since it is not reasonable to have to wait 3 weeks for a truck.

The fact that you actully drove to terminal each day is major point.

Most attorneys will do the initial consult for free, it would'nt hurt you check.

No really. He's not under contract with Swift Those "contracts" are simply a loan with a non-money repayment option. He chose to use the repayment option that requires money yo pay back.

I would simply not mention them as I feel that 4 days orientation does not mean one is employed (unless one gets paid for it, which Swift does not.) If the new company finds out and asks simply tell them the truth. If they don't hire you for that petty a reason, it's likely a bullet you just dodged by not going there. :)

Something doesn't sound right here. Swift has 18,000 trucks at their disposal.
I waited two days for my truck.

There is more to the story here. Too many guys quit swift. If the pay is too low consider driving for an owner operator.

Yes....find another job before they hit your DAC.
Explain to the new employer what happened.

The phrase they usually use with DAC was quit during or after orientation/training...
