The T/A in Wilcox. Thought about going to Eloy, but what the heck. I have until 0800 Monday to get 540 miles. Could have dropped Sunday night but why bother, go to JV and sit. Nah, not happening. Decent morning until hi El Paso and the 3 areas of construction. At least found some cheap fuel. $2.37/gal, while the big boys where at $2.79/gal.

Ty Ty Ty all for the advice. Some of you are even more sneaky than me!! LOL

Got moving this morning after grabbing a mac30 load from bfe Arkansas to bfe Kentucky. 270 mt miles 160 loaded. Was planning on telling ECT to dh me home from KY or I'd just head home. Got a load when almost to del. Memphis to Rock Hill. So it was race the clock time. Realizing due to the remote locations of p/u and del I wasn't going to make Memphis tnite. Shut down at Loves in Jackson TN. Will need to have zero delays to make it tomorrow. Will be acceptable if I spend one more night in the truck then run it in very early Monday am.

I did not know that. They always end up serving as the overflow parking. Now I'll have another reason to stop here. I share your sentiment. Texas is the bbq king of the USA.

Dan its a good thing you posted that here in the Swift forum, otherwise you would have started a "Which state has the best bbq" flame war. Hundreds of posts describing in excrutiating detail why Texas, Memphis,Kansas City, and NC (eastern and western style) are the best. I will inform you that NC is the bbq King of the USA you....you....Dallas Cowboy fan

The T/A in Indio or Coachella. You decide. Woke this morning to a pplan and some something that I have never seen before, a note that said Home Request. The text of the message, this order number will get you home per your request. About 1 day early but I will take it. Now just have to deliver this later than planned because it shows pu at 1415, a preloaded trailer going to Tolleson, Quaker Oats for a drop. Guess that I will be in the hotel 1 day earlier, but still not picking up the new truck until the 2nd, the beginning of the new pay week so I do not get hit with the other charges and give me a negative balance. What a lot of traffic today from PHX to hear and I have to say, lost all respect for some bikers, when they were in such a rush that they were threading the needle. Riding the white line between me and cars and then swinging over in front of me with about 2-3 feet to spare in front of my bumper. Is that what they call sharing the road. Ohh, could tell this morning that my pplan was from the Micro Map/system and not the planners. Just from the initials on the text message, MCSBS?STCI@ASwift

I've been getting that home time message for a couple months now.
Once it was a week early, with 2 days extra until delivery.
Once a load got me within 20 miles on the day after I asked for and they sent me a short run that would take another extra day, and that was the load with the message.
Sorry, but if I'm 20 miles from where I want to be, when I want to be there... I refused it, saying that I will be on home time once the current load is delivered. Then I called my DM to set my PTA so they wouldn't keep sending me garbage.

I've only been home on time once, you're lucky. Must live in a good area for freight.

Does that T/A still have more flies inside than outside?
