don't need any experience. as long as you have an endorsement , you can get a job driving water bottle . Here's the downside . A lot of these companies come & go . There's no stability in this industry. Hrs. I might get 70 one week and 20 the next ! Of late it's been really slow here in PA. Chevron & Halliburton are laying off. Last week I got 48 hrs. that's the most in almost two months ! Looking to get out !

yeah, everyone's fighting over the same nickel ! EQT is cutting the rates for water trucks . not a lot of demand

Rate got cut waay down I came up to williston north Dakota and it's slow up here too. I run frac sand and the marcellus shale is dang near all but stopped..the ones that are still running are doing it for a third of what it was before the new year

Skip it until the crude oil prices rise a bit. A former coworker is making more driving for JB Hunt on a dedicated account, than a lot of oilfield drivers I know. That in itself is a very sad commentary...

Company announced another pay cut for us in Pennsylvania yesterday. I may end up going back otr in a dirt tank until rates come up.

There are tons of Frac N Crude jobs here in Eastern Ohio. Just check Craigslist for the area. Most want tank experience but some companies don't mind training somebody on tank. My friends that work crude tank say they are making $1800-$2000/wk.

Thats crazy.....I run sand in the WV,OH, PA area and I assure you that the rates are crap.(down 40-60 %) from last year, no detention pay from Halliburton, and lucky to get 2 loads a day at 125 +/- a load. storage rate after 24 hr on hold at stage loaded is gone...The sand thing collectively is now a mid pay at best.....why do I stay....it's what I do...good and the bad...I'm not a blacktop kinda driver....If and when ur forced to go home,...start praying that you will come back out in a week or 2...the days of running 4-6 weeks are gone for now..
Is it a matter who u run for....sure....yet the rates are across the board and it's now who will run it for the cheapest.....they want the best for the lowest price.....take it or leave it...this is the mindset of the fracking companies now...
I see this staying for a year or move....Experience...4 years in the sand hauling as a company driver.

I just got hired at Clearcreek to run water bottles.
They're looking for more drivers from what I hear. The whole water bottle gig is going to be new to me :/
