A young gun, ready to rumble...I like to see that. Have you looked at RE West? They hire rookies and they have more room for advancement than TMC and Maverick put together.
-
Care to elaborate? All I have really found is that they make you unload your own trailers for low pay, and pay .32/mile.

I received a list from my school and I am starting to narrow the list of the companies I would like to start with. they are
* McElroy
* TMC
* Maverick
* Big M diesel
* Roehl
* SchneiderChinatown Thanks this. -
They're all decent companies. I think Big-M Diesel does East Coast.
If I were choosing for myself, would narrow it down in the following order:
Schneider Bulk
TMC
MaverickShaggy Thanks this. -
He was looking into flatbedding. They have flatbed andmulti axle heavy haul rigs....things that TMC and Maverick cant even began to touch. Dont just look at today, look at tomorrow too.

I looked RE WEST up but they're website doesn't cover CMP or potential mileage. Do you have any information about them? I did see that you are responsible for the upfront cost of scale tickets and tolls. they reimburse but still. Any more information would be awesome. This is a career that I will be making and although I can switch carriers after I gather some experience, I would rather not get bent the first time around and give me a bad taste for the industry.

East coast isn't too much of a problem my family and fiancée's is still in New York. Schneider I do hear a lot of flack about not treating their employees well. Although they do seem to have a decent package as well. Definitely not a decision to make over night I'll tell you that. Kind of feels like I am picking what sports team to go to ha ha.Chinatown Thanks this.
-
SNI does an okay job treating their employees. If it were me I'd handle things way differently, but I think most would.
If I had to sum it up in a sentence... Great to start with, but not for everyone.
Thing that kills me the most is the need to almost be, "hive minded." -
Ok if you are looking for money the Crete is the company to go with.I am not sure how there trainers are but what I am told you get $650 a week when your out with a trainer.I do know for a starter company Werner is not a bad company to start out with.You make I beleave around $450 a week starting the day you start waiting on a trainer.I work for werner and I had a trainer the the I finished orientation.If you deside to go with Werner then they are going to try and sell you on the dollar general or family dollar account and from what I have see anyone one you see ether driving the company van or working in the company story has got hurt working on them accounts and is on light duty.But all in all Werner is not a bad company but if I Could start all over again I would of went with Crete just cause of there pay.
