Id consider it. Or would have, but I really want to see how far they take this. I'll know in Butler.

You never told us that schneider approved you to come on board. That changes things. I drive for schneider(company side) and know lots of owner ops doing the choice deal. Haven't met one yet that was not happy with the deal. They all make good money and self-dispatch. Have you signed the Eagle contract yet??

Nope I haven't yet. Only thing with Schneider is I haven't been approved by Schneider Finance. So I have to find a truck by other means if I go there. Need a lil more time to save for a down payment. I was hoping Eagle would be on the level though. Seems like it has potential, and to be able to run DAT and ITS would have been somthing I couldn't do at Schneider.

Schneider finance told you that you don't qualify for a no money down lease?? Also, has Eagle always allowed their contractors to run off DAT and ITS load boards, or did this happen recently?

Even though its 0 down they still have certain requirements you have to meet for Schneider Finance. From what I Understand, Eagle O/O's have been able to use DAT and ITS since day one. They may have an approved list of brokers also, I'm not sure yet. I haven't seen or talked to a single Eagle representative yet. All of orientation has been handled by Celadon. Will make some headway today though after the road test.

Yea, basically you can let dispatch find you loads or you can get your own, but the broker has to be on Eagle's "good credit" broker list(about 20 of them)

I found the Eagle facebook page just last night and spent some time reading the comments. As per usual, half the comments were from happy, content drivers while the other half were pissed off drivers ranting about how there is no money to be made with Eagle. Geesh, if that isn't always the story with Lease Purchase discussions. Makes weeding out the good deals from the shady ones a pain in the :bootyshake:

Also found out that you are typically dispatched from the terminal nearest to your home, and judging by the facebook comments- the TX and TN terminals are pretty crappy. Drivers there claiming they aren't making any money. Indianapolis terminal received rave reviews. It's confusing though because we look for our own loads and everyone gets the same broker list. So, why are the TX and TN drivers not making any money?? Unless they're relying on dispatcher to find loads it just doesn't make sense. Anyway, good luck on your road test and keep us posted.

Passed the road test today. Was an all day process waiting. The head of recruitment put her foot down and demanded more testers from what I hear. All paperwork signed, and should be activated tomorrow. Been a change of plans, they're putting me on a bus to Butler tomorrow or Friday morning depending how long the activation (hiring) process is. There us flatbedders will pick out tractors. So right now I'm back in the hotel room, going to shower and hit the sushi bar across the street. Hopefully it won't move through my system as fast as what I've been eating the last few days. Funny how is it is to digest non garbage........
