Did that occur around the time the idle control went out?

Hi there everyone quick question, if i had the speed sensor unplugged so that i was able to bypass the whole 5mph driver lockout crap. Would my engine brake still be able to function properly when going down a steep grade fully loaded? In a 2014 d13volvo

This is a reply to the no idling question. Just turn your cruise switch to on and bump it up one time. Should do the trick.

Depends I had the same issues with a Volvo there was two places you can unplug the speed sensor. 1 is up above the batteries and the second one from the transmission. If I remember right it seems like it would work if I unplugged it from one but wouldn't work if I unplug it from the other spot.

Volvo VNL 430. Had ECU and harness connector replaced. Now my jake brake won't work. Any idea what to do? Mechanic trying to figure what to do.
