Whatever you choose. Stick with it for a full and complete year after training. Count from your first solo dispatch. If you jump ship any sooner than that you just shooting yourself in the foot.
I'd apply at more tanker companies that train. -
First i heard that. Everyone else goes by hire date.

Its what LS went by, and seems appropriate. I also wouldn't choose a company that had me in training for three months at slave wages. Three weeks and I was solo.
-
This is not good. I hope that is just LS.

Know of any more reputable tanker companies?
-
Chinatown has a list somewhere.

Schneider

I would highly recommend staying away from Tanker out of school/training , with all those liquids sloshing around and the potential for the need for a hazmat endorsement, it will be hard to find a company that might put you behind the wheel with hazmat out the door.. The 3 companies I listed above is a place to start, I know it will take more then the basic training to go solo in tanker I'm almost sure of it. but hey aim big nothing wrong with that
