DuckTape with Tinfoil behind it will stop the singal. Cheap easy fix just get black ducktape and no one will be the wiser, this method is used alot at megas to shut that annoying beeping P.O.S. Up!

excatly i did my first trip on the truck today about 4 hours drive and i noticed i was windy area if someone was not even in my lane it would still throw up the following to close, and when i drove it bobtail it always threw up the code for YAW offset or H Aling error but today i hauled a 40 foot refer it didnt throw that same code that it would after 15-30 mins of driving only on my way to my destination threw it once. i don't want to start taking things apart yet, so i will try the least breaking stuff way and see how it goes.

    Hey Cetane,
i did call up my local freightliner service dept and he told me that he had a guy there last week trying to remove it, but they couldnt do it. i spoke my own mechanic and he says if its only ECM i could take it out but if its also connected to ABS crap then he may not be able to.
sounds good i be calling up Meritor Wabco on monday then, this whole system may look good on first glimpse or when you hear the name of it but after working with it for few days boy do it get annoying or what.

    Hey Fajo
thanks for your input your idea sounds most appealing it sounds like an easy fix and no breaking stuff :O i m going to try this route out. As tinfoil i would just use my normal foil paper and you mention behind it, do you mean like actually behind the sensor and while im there might as well cover the #### thing with few layers of tinfoil and duck tape it up..

    correct?

Tinfoild over the sensor (radar) then cover it with black ducktape, the guy I know that uses this method has a International with the Bendex Detection system. He uses blacktape so the truck does not "look" modified when going thur quick inspections at work..

    Mraj22 Thanks this.

Swing on by my place and I'll sell you the magic black tape to fix your problem. Right now, only $799.99, includes free installation.

It makes sense that you would have more issues bouncing around bobtail, but if you are getting alignment or yaw errors, I'd say it sounds like it needs to be realigned or have the mounting checked.

I could be wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that pulling the fuse will disable it, along with the cruise control since they're tied together.

I don't know. I've never had a truck with it to be able to look at the fuse box and see what all that fuse protects. Might (if you're lucky) be a stand-alone circuit...or it could disable a bunch of stuff you'd rather not disable. Only ways to know for sure would be to look at the fuse box diagram or to pull it and find out what else was affected.

Hey fajo so I tried this way after few minutes of driving it throws up a code saying radar not connected,
afterwards cruise disable this is one way to deal with it if u drive in traffic normally.
