You're not allowed to be in the same lane as a mega and not allowed in the right lane?

so if you slow down 2-3mph (that's all it takes to always have that cushion in front of you, trust me, I do it in NJ every day) for a 10 hour day you're only losing about 20 miles. Now if you limit yourself to only slowing down like that when you're in a busy area, what are you losing, 5 miles a day? Once you stop for your reset, you lost NOTHING. You're exactly where you would have been, just 20 minutes later than you would have been there... Not a big deal.

On 850 KOA in Denver, once a month they have the Gov. and the Denver Mayor on. Every so often, someone, usually who previously lived in a state with lane restrictions, will call and ask why Colorado doesn't restrict trucks from the left lane on highways with 3 or more lanes. The answer, every time it's asked for the last 15+ yrs, because traffic flows better when all vehicles can use all lanes. There are only a couple of places in Colorado where trucks are lane restricted, usually the sign either says the minimum speed is 55 mph (if it's a two lanes section) or it's a 3 lane and trucks can only use the right and center lane (I-70 approaching Eisenhower Tunnel), even then, if you get hung out there for a valid reason (idiot four wheelers) the cops will generally let you off with a warning.

Used turn signal to. It's a ProStar, horn is a button just under thumb. So yes, used highway, signaled, merged, after checking mirror.

BTW, I was done with thread last night after getting my answers.
