Still at the house...pulling out in the morning.

 

Choice between sitting all day Sunday in a crappy freight market that wouldn't be any better today, taking .80/mile loads or deadhead to something that paid and let me run Sunday. Chose this option and now here it sit for 4 1/2 hours and counting, although they actually started finally now. Absolutely no traffic this morning, but unfortunately this place had to completely blow

 

TA in New Braunfels, TX. It's 86 degrees and humid already here. In a month it will be 110 degrees! Aaaannnnnnddddd the truck idling season has started. (No, I have no APU!)

 

If I 35 ever opens up I might pass New Braunfels tonight.

 

I saw the sign. Is it just closed at night? Crazy they close the entire road. I'm rolling north to Dallas sometime after the Austin rush tomorrow morning.

 

Pilot, Terre Haute In ex 11 I-70 . Load to Edison NJ. Tomorrow I hope to get to Carlisle but that may be a stretch with 43K in the box @ 605 miles from here. So the short end is Sidling Hill Service Plaza on the Turnpike. Mmmmmm Starbucks...... or another one thats closer to Carlisle but still with Starbucks.. leaves at most 230 miles to delivery.
