I'm looking into buying the XM snap radio. Its good for slip seating and plugs right into the cigarette lighter.. My question is how good isthe FM function? For some reason most of the trucks I drive for my job do not have aux ports unfortunately.. I had my original stratus 7 that I used when I was otr and recently resubscribed, I would bring it with me in every truck and install.. It was a big pita but I did it, until the adapter wires became frayed.. I just want my satellite radio through my truck speakers and not a little dinky Bluetooth speaker any help would be appreciated

Is it secure in the cigarette lighter port? I bought an bluetooth FM transmitter for my phone a few months ago for my phone but after a couple months it started shutting off and coming due to every bump I went over.

Depends on the area you travel in regularly. If you travel in areas that is chock full of near and farther FM stations, you may have issues finding a consistently unused frequency. In remote areas of the country, they can be manageable, otherwise, it's hard to say. Running local it might be easier to find a channel that works all the time, then if you're constantly moving between different radio markets daily and hourly.

I'd consider swapping the radio with a compatible radio that has an aux input in front (if you don't swap trucks regularly). But if you do slip seat, you really don't have any other options if the radio does not have a front aux input.

If the trucks have a cassette player (are there any still out there?) , there is a cassette adapter that provides you with an "aux input" through the cassette.
