Pay sucks, either by choice (as in Schneider) or not.

And what's this $10 and $12 an hour baloney?
Two $30,000 a year jobs add up to what? Yup, you got it.. peanuts for all that work and time; about the same as what you claim to have made last year. Hell, just one 30K job isn't much, then...times two?
It's not twice as much, it's twice as bad.

You see Paul, based on personal experience, I know what you do and what you make. And it ain't much for what you and all (and I do mean all) the other drivers do.

Over and over again; a whopping percentage of Mega trucking drivers leave after one year (causing the current and enormous driver shortage; perhaps more meaningful in this down economy where decent jobs are so scarce), not because they "cant hack it", but because they realize that the pay positively stinks.

 

headed to conway on the 13th do they give you extra time on the loads or are they tight i will be team driving with the wife.

Ethier rental car or drop trl at the truck stop empty or Conway freight yards if loaded. Just watch out for rats...seriously walk over and ask them "are you a rat!!?". ...if you've been asked it was prob me or James lol.

 

wrench, generally were dispatched at 48 miles an hour which leaves plenty of time to get it done...once in a while we get a tight one but does that work with us...most times I 8/2 sleeper will solve the problem...I only use it about twice a year.

traded it for El Paso to Salt Lake City...lost 200 miles on the deal but they still have to bring me back the jopmo for a baby trucker...

plus I had a great ride on us 491 and 191...wow never been on those two highways...incredible, especially 191 in southern Utah!!!

hey everyone how the miles been just got back to work slow in el paso

 

Finally leaving El Paso, dropped load yesterday at Sam's Club at 3pm , didn't get load till 10am this morning to pick up at Phillips @3pm went over to get load a found out that they pushed the load back till 6pm called and let dispatcher know and to see what they wanted us to do, being load is suppose to be there tomorrow, 10 mins later planner sends message "Hey just wanted to let you know your load has been moved back to 6pm, Thanks" yeah we already got that, 3 hrs later get a message from the dispatcher we spoke to earlier and she said yes your appt has been moved to 6pm make sure to write your times down, will make sure you get detention. Now an hr later still waiting on dispatch to come thru. Eww sometimes I really wonder about them. Be safe everyone

 

FM is just covering themself for when they screw you out of hours of detention of course
