On our way to deliver a two stop paper load in Buffalo and Rochester, NY followed by a run from Buffalo to Nogales, AZ with plastic concrete for Mexico. This all gets us nicely in position to run to West Valley City, UT to turn in our last company truck for our lease.

Btw - good food at this indie.

 

TA Effingham IL 800 ish out from delivery. Uneventful overcast day. 39 in Ann Arbor this morning 77 as I shut down.

I was reminded why I'm going to build our log home in the NC foothills. Was on I-80 past the southern tip of Lake Michigan over to I-57 south. What traffic. Drivers were worse than four wheelers. I thought they were going to start bump drafting. I was overjoyed to hit 57 south.

My last load had me going that way, but over to I-65 and down to I-70.
I hate that stretch of highway. Between I-57 and I-65 is even worse.
It seems no one will give an inch, especially in following distance.

Needless to say I got myself routed down I-74, which is a very pleasant drive.

 

Well if you low on fuel that's the only game in town I was on 1/8 tank of fuel had me fuel at the town in pump in billings. There is no loves or TA so they have to give you fuel at a pilot/j but that was the 1st time I field at one since the great swift embargo.......sitting in manteno going to Columbus in the am.

 

I couldnt agree with this more. I cant stand I-80 east of I-57 all the way to I-65. I tell everyone that id rather drive thru chicago than that mess on i-80 any day. That and milwaukee, I cant stand Milwaukee.

 

Here at home Depot after delivery. Ran out of hours. Was sent a plan. Pick at 1600 tomorrow going to Vegas. No weight on load and deliver Friday afternoon. Made a phone call and was told that there is no freight there. According to what they Said there is none scheduled until 4/17. Mac 30 all day was loads under 300 miles. I thought I was delivering in golden. Actually up lookout mntn. Been spitting rain and sleet

 

Maybe a Mac 30 200 mile load or two would get you to a better area than Vegas.

There has been nothing for hours. Those short ones where still to lousy areas like Fruita and grand junction and pick up tomorrow and live unload on Friday

 

At an Indie TS in Minot ND wrapping up my break. Live delivery a couple miles away at 5am.

Fairly pleasant drive from Eau Claire to here yesterday. Topped off fuel and DEF in Fargo so have plenty to get back out assuming I can get something to get back out for. Been checking mac30 on and off yesterday and several times after parking...nada. I'm sure something will come along. If not here then a long DH somewhere else. Doesn't matter to me.

 

You're local but you sleep in the truck??? Hmmmm that defeats the purpose in my opnion. Lol
