Whats up guys. Im a newbie as you can see. I am a student and chose to do a self-study paper on the trucking industry, specifically, the health of drivers and their future health.
So, I want to know if anyone who works for a health insurance co. or medical co., preferably in a management or higher position could donate 10-20 mins of your time.
I'll be coming up w/ an interview of about 10-12 questions regarding drivers, their health, their employer's take on their health, etc.
I hope to get some valuable info to maybe look into even further in the future, like in helping my father's own co. For now I just need to get this assignment done! lol
Reply on here, I dont have PM yet! Thanks!
Know someone who works for a health insurance co. or medical co.?

No,I am not with an insurance company nor a healthcare provider. You wish to know about health concerns for both a driver and the company that might employ him or her.You can go to the website that regulates the industry, both drivers and employers.FMCSA.Insurance and healthcare both watch this site for guidance.I am sure it's for their bottom line and profit and not for the well being of truckers. But,hey, were used to it.Low pay and long hours while someone gets rich at our expense.Last thing, the average life expectancy of a trucker is 55.They raised the speed limit to 65,how about doing the same to our life expectancy with a little more pay, better benefits and some relief from all the regulations.
