Ive only had about a year of driving and ive beeb at two places where i had to be loaded unloaded on the side of a two lanr road in town one was a small junk yard the other was on a no trucks allowed road in new orleans at a construction site with low hanging trees and had to park on the wrong side of the road to get unloaded there. I pull a 53' dry van
To you greenhorns, not every delivery is at a dock.

Get Out And Look G.O.A.L
spindrift Thanks this. -
Chicago and other places I go, are lousy when they plow that lake effect snow and leave it in the road for backing.
All of that aero crap under the tractors and the trailer wings can get banged up.
There is one in Baltimore that kind of takes the cake for me, though, behind a storefront line of buildings off a narrow street that trucks use to park while on home time, with a tapered lot that is almost 70 feet wide at the dock, and a low fixed dock.
Wish we had something besides 53s for some of these places.
I have too many memorable places to mention, and some of the most memorable actually have docks.

I'm not missing those icy docks that you slid down every time you tap the brakes just a bit too hard. Hate California but at least I escaped most of the snow and ice this year.

I had a small lot covered in ice to drop an mt and pick up a fully loaded trlr and i also had a loaded trlr covered in ice that a spent 20 mins chipping at so i can close the doots on

That didn't look too awful bad, as the space next to his door was empty. If it weren't, I would be inclinec to call that impossible.
