I worked for a trucking Co for 5 mnths and was let go today. I was let go for having 3 preventable accidents. I realy wouldent call them accidents.umm..one of them

Well anyway...I called around today to see if i could get a job with other companies, I was told by one guy ...he was with CHRST ...that i need to find some small privet owned companies because the big companies will not hire be because i was let go because of these so call accidents. What the heck do I do..I dont know of any privet owned companies and i have to find a job like soon. Ide like to get somthing local..but I dont know waht nto look for....HELP PLEASE!!

He is correct. To answer your original statement, yes, they are all preventable accidents. Accidents don't have to involve other truck/vehicles and they don't have to happen on the road.

Three accidents in 5 months? I only drive a 4 wheeler, but I haven't had one in my entire driving experience (31 years) Maybe driving isn't your strong suit? I suspect that will be a very difficult obstacle to overcome, but if you have your heart set on driving, you will probably have to find a local company to drive for and keep your record clean for 3 years to get an OTR job. I wish you the best of luck.

ya I hear ya. But I guess as long as you're paying the bills you are doing better then many.
Broncrider has his landstar application in waiting on his approval. Mabey you should head over to his thread and spread your LS wisdom.. :biggrin_25525:

:biggrin_2559:, he sent me a PM already. Wisdom is something I DON'T have. If I did, I would never had bought this truck in the first place.

trust me. there is much worse things to be doing.

I guess if someone is the kind of guy who doesn't mind being herded around like a sheep then they'd be fine pretty much anywhere but seeing as how that's not the type of person who goes to work for LS I doub't anything else would be much better. I took that job driving for Arnold in order to get enough money to get my truck rolling and I never made much more then enough to pay the bills. Not to mention being treated like a scumbag every day. Finally had enough of that last week
