garmin 560 deal question

    Hello,
    How do I check routing on this thing? Say, I'm rolling and I want to learn what turns and streets it has me routed on? Sometimes I can do this by double tapping the plus symbol, but other times I can not. Why is this? I am waiting to get loaded now and don't know the details of how she has me routed.
    Which leads to next question: how do I change the assigned route? I mean, other than just going the way I want until she catches on.

    I have the 760, so I would think they are similar. If you tap the top the the screen in the bar where it says the street name or highway your on it will list turn by turn your route. Then hit the return arrow to go back to the map. Safe travels.

    Just touch the map and it will show a complete overview or, like the previous poster said, touch the green bar across the top for turn by turn.

    To route differently than what is suggested, let it route then go to the overview (as stated above) then double tap a way point and hit "Go" and choose "add to route" when the option comes up. Drag and drop the order if they need to be changed.

    It was a refurb, I never got a manual. But again, thanks for the advice.
    Everyone else, thank you! I was obviously hitting the top bar when I thought I was double tapping the plus sign, that's kinda funny.
