Joe, welcome to America. I see you're new here, because you sound like a McDonalds cashier wanting $15 an hour. Guess what? We all have a choice on where we work. This isn't a communist country where we're forced to work somewhere in particular. Do you realize that we have the freedom to not accept jobs if we think the pay is too low? Man you are dense. Why do you come here and argue?

It sure has slowed. But they're still pulling the black stuff out of the ground. Places are still hiring. But I'm looking for a local gig before they can cut me.paul_4lp and double yellow Thank this.

Not really. 15 minutes for a pretrip, 15 minutes for a drop, 15 minutes for a hook, 30 minutes for a load, 30 minutes for an unload, 8 or 9 minutes for a fuel. Uhm don't expect to get rich.
The federal government always pretends to be the friend of the working people so that they can slowly steal away our freedoms and liberties. If I were a politician I'd work to eliminate the federal DOT altogether. I'd certainly stop the over reaching federal government from funding training programs, as that keeps the industry flooded with a steady supply of unqualified drivers, and since labor like everything else is simply a product of supply and demand, an over supply of drivers equals lower driver wages. Get them out of our industry and see how fast driver wages skyrocket.
The federal government today exist for one reason and one reason alone and that is to make itself bigger and more powerful. -
I'd prob extend my on duty numbers just to pad my cheque. Extra hours?
....extra edits. (Never log pre trip non edit anyway)
No more logging 8 minute pre trips or 3 minute fuel.
Make it up by not following the guy going 63 and going 64 next to him for the next 30 minutes
Oh wait...there's just deer & fedwrex out.
So what effect would that have on hourly unloading pay? They gonna drop it down to 7.25?
This I agree with as only to get my money for Conway's local pickups. Hell I might even log on duty lie and say I was sticking stickers on pallets every local load out of spite.
