Being that they are outfitting the entire fleet, Hirschbach had to get a break on the costs somewhere. But they also believe in investing in their drivers to keep them happy. They are going to be turning all of our Sirius radios on as well at no cost to us. As to the actual setups in the trucks, there are only a limited number of trucks who currently have the DirecTV. They are installing them as the tractors come in for PM services.

Sounds like Hirschbach is changing for the better.I use to talk to some drivers and not one was happy.

From my personal experiences as a Supervisor in Tech Support for DirecTV, you can get a dome that will give you full HD access, even while rolling. However it will have to come from a third party retailer that services and installs Winegard or KVH dishes. You CAN get a normal house dish, and put on your truck to get HD services, HOWEVER pointing to get all the HD channels is a pita because you have to adjust for "skew", or also referred to as twist, at each location and not just elevation and azimuth.
You can also have "DNS or Distant Networks Services (east coast and west coast major channels) if you have a RV or mobile account or you can call them up and have them change the address that you are currently at. Have had some people that would call every time they stopped during the day for lunch in their RV and had it changed so there is no limit. If they tell you that there is, call them out on it and ask to speak to a supervisor (only real way to get things done if the normal tech doesn't know what they are doing and if you remain firm but polite you will almost always get a quick resolution.)
Any other questions feel free to ask and I'll answer the best I can.
