There is certainly a vast array of technology out there but I can't help to notice that there seems to be minor issues a lot of platforms.

So I want to pose this question, in an ideal world, what are you missing that would help make your day easier? Better routing? Easier tracking of costs? Easier load booking? Better communication with dispatch? Better communication with receivers/warehouses?

Even as as far as technology in the truck, cameras, sensors, etc?

I wouldn't mind a light and a backing cam on the trailer sometimes. I get 1/2 paranoid someone is going to walk or drive behind me when I'm backing to a dock. I had a pickup zip behind me right after I lined up one morning.

Fuel theft alarm system (should probably be installed at the assembly line) - that can connect to and signal whatever onboard comm system that may be available (Qualcomm)

A portable cellular electronic alarm that sits and listens for glass break, door opening dc signal, or truck movement and will call/text a cell phone. There probably are some on the market, but I've not seen any marketed to owner ops or company drivers, though

Most of the other things mentioned are pretty well covered (individually) if anyone wants to seek them out and buy them. Not sure you can create a better "communication system"

100,000 volt system set to discharge if any but the driver touches the fifth wheel release handle or the tandem release.

First off, this works best if the trailer behind the rig doesnt say swift or werner.

Yes a few of those could be OEM added items. Do you ever find it challenging getting into contact with a shipper, especially if you are an O/O? Or have too many touchi points for the load?
