You reap what you sow!!! The short and concise answer is you should understand your DUI is going to make you pay for a while...suck it up because you've entered the "school of hard knocks". -

If you can afford the insurance with your past, I'd buy a pre emissions truck 2002 or older. You can find great trucks. Running and driving for $15-20k.
Have you read double yellows thread? You should give it a read.

I got that beautiful, completely non aerodynamic PIG of a truck, you see in my sig for $19k. $4k down and $15k financed.
So far, only maintenance has been:
engine fan clutch
engine brake clutch
water temp sensor wire
batteries
Other than some simple reconditioning, she's been a real runner.UKJ Thanks this. -
I would just like to say thanks for the adviceI,i still have another year and a few months to get it all straight.I probably will go back to a company for a year or so (ugghh).I have saved money over the years so I'm really not struggling.I drove for MDI out of hickory for years with my pention and 401 I could probably ride this storm out for another 5 years and still be ok,I'll keep you guys/gals updated.

Good luck Cross! Not a one of us is mistake-free, it sounds like you have looked at this thing with open eyes and know the road ahead. Good luck, be patient, and keep working towards your goal! Best, Tracy

Hey CrissCross not sure if your still checking your post, not an O/O but
was wondering about your status with your old Company? Sounded
like you said you were making good money at the time. Are you or
they not receptive to a reunion? Also, just a thought, maybe look
for a State run Defensive driving course, talk face to face with
your licensing Department and see if they can recommend an option
to get you back sooner. Seems like if you plead to the right person
somewhere somehow you might get some helpful info. Just my 2¢.
Good luck hope something happens especially since its your first
offense. -
