Placarding 5 gallons of fuel still require 4 sides on the fuel container? How's that work

Ridiculous, Throw a blanket over it and secure it and out of the way from anything and be done

Get/build a catwalk tool box... problem solved. Every one of my trucks has had them. Something as simple as a good heavy duty plastic tote/tool box bolted to the catwalk, although all of mine were purpose-built aluminum. Having said that, I wouldn't hesitate strapping something down with a marked (WLL) strap.Shaggy Thanks this.

Bungees are only legal for securing tarps. So don't use a bungee to do it. This is how I was trained and this is what I know to be true. Any other uses of bungees I SHAKE MY HEAD upon and looks VERY unprofessional. D.o.t will recognize the un-professionalism as well.

Drill holes in bottom of plastic tote and bolt to frame with giant washers. Go to harbor freight and strap top on?

Placarding something that doesn't need it is just as bad as if you didn't placard some item that did. I guess if he told you to drive a 100 you'd do that too for the money. Come to think of it, you should show the Dangerous placard. -
