I got caught using my cell while driving. I know...Please, I feel bad enough. The company I am leased on to has a zero tolerance policy. Has anyone out there been able to get leased on to a company with that on their CSA? If so, would you share the names of the companies? I have my own truck and dry van and will be needing to hopefully find a new home. Thanks in advance

With the fines for the company being so high on that violation you might as well have ran over a bus full of nuns. Most reputable carriers are going to shy away from hiring with that being recent.

It's probably not a deal breaker. But what the hell were you thinking? A Bluetooth is $100 or less and you just cost yourself a job and $2750.

It was actually $168. It was in Kentucky and the officer said that since it was a pre-payable offense, it wouldn't get reported. I don't believe that for a second but that is what he said.

The problem isn't the fine you get although it could've been much worse. The problem for carriers is they can be fined $10,000 for you getting the ticket. That's why is a problem for them. If you repeat the error it will cost them big.
