I didn't read the part where you wanted to go solo after 90 days. You do realize covenant is a team company right? Solo pay is low especially for you since you're. A student. I urge you to reconsider, money only in team driving

I thought about teaming and put alot of consideration into it. If I'm enjoying it I would love to stay running teams but I was told I could still make good money running solo if I decided to get set on that mindset. It's more of home time reasons I considered solo but I was also told if my teammate has the same feeling in regards to that then it wouldn't be an issue. I just don't want to be gone for months at a time. I see a doctor every month and need to be around for that but I don't mind a few weeks out at a time.

I never said veteran drivers are the ones complaining or problems with their character. Unless you're refering them to a category of people that I mentioned.
Anyways I have complaints and sometimes have the wrong attitude with this teaming thing as you can tell by some of my posts.

But I would be in a different state of mind after doing this for 20years as well. Don't plan on trucking forever.

Don,t worry about what these other people say,
I,m out there all the time and I don,t know where they are getting there Info.
I have never heard such things.
There is a lot of negative people out there about every Trucking company.
Don't let this burst your bubble..
Every company has problems and it is never as easy as most people think.
It is hard work but the money is there.
It all depends on ,you how good or bad your experience is going to be.
that is why I said be a problem solver and not a creator.
and if you are not getting the results you think you should be from your dispatcher,,,
ask for a different one..most all your communication with your company will be thu them.
and your relationship with them will determine a lot about your happiness with this driving job..
Trust me if I didn't thing you had a good opportunity here I would be telling you stay away.
but you have to start some where and they are as good as any out there..

You were just informed by a company driver in post #33 that they are a team company. Lesson #1 in trucking don't hang on the words of any recruiter, they get paid to get you there and will tell you anything to make it happen. If you would like to do solo find another company. You are in Ohio which just about every company hauls frieght thru take your time and find a company that fits you best. Good luck to you and drive safely. P.S. I started with TMC and would recommend them to anyone try them if flatbed interests you.
