ZackTheVet93 said: ↑Thank you Night Train, I'd like to run teams for a little while as they require you to run teams for 90 days after the training is over with. I'd really like to go solo OTR for a while once I'm done training to get some experience and miles under my belt so I have broader options. I've already got my HAZMAT endorsement as well as tanker and doubles/triples so I know I will have options with some miles. Ive done the process for my TWIC card but I'd like to see if they will cover the cost so I just did all the paperwork and pre registration for it. One thing that also draws me there is I get paid extra for having my Hazmat endorsement even if I'm not hauling any hazardous materials. Not to mention there tuition reimbursement program, school was a pretty penny.Click to expand...double yellow Thanks this.

Anyways I have complaints and sometimes have the wrong attitude with this teaming thing as you can tell by some of my posts.
But I would be in a different state of mind after doing this for 20years as well. Don't plan on trucking forever.pattyj Thanks this. -
Covenant was who my wife and i started with 13 years ago...
we got the 6 months experience we needed for another company and got out....
they do not have solo drivers anymore.....
if you have any otr experience you can do a lot betterTruckDuo Thanks this. -
All I ever needed to know about Covenant I saw on To Catch A Predator. I guess to that guy, a child wasn't a choice.....
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
Don,t worry about what these other people say,
I,m out there all the time and I don,t know where they are getting there Info.
I have never heard such things.
There is a lot of negative people out there about every Trucking company.
Don't let this burst your bubble..
Every company has problems and it is never as easy as most people think.
It is hard work but the money is there.
It all depends on ,you how good or bad your experience is going to be.
that is why I said be a problem solver and not a creator.
and if you are not getting the results you think you should be from your dispatcher,,,
ask for a different one..most all your communication with your company will be thu them.
and your relationship with them will determine a lot about your happiness with this driving job..
Trust me if I didn't thing you had a good opportunity here I would be telling you stay away.
but you have to start some where and they are as good as any out there.. -
yea I saw that on to catch a predator I know that company was so embarrassed to have that happen.
how that guy got that job I have no Idea with his record..
yea I know idiots slip thu and they are lots of them out there.
don,t listen to them..
I see and hear these guys all the time and I truly believe they are never happy with any job..Ever -
ZackTheVet93 said: ↑I thought about teaming and put alot of consideration into it. If I'm enjoying it I would love to stay running teams but I was told I could still make good money running solo if I decided to get set on that mindset. It's more of home time reasons I considered solo but I was also told if my teammate has the same feeling in regards to that then it wouldn't be an issue. I just don't want to be gone for months at a time. I see a doctor every month and need to be around for that but I don't mind a few weeks out at a time.Click to expand...
