Then you need to open your eyes, post#16 is but one example. Actually, if you take out the self employment tax and workers comp and a few other benefits, you're down in the .55 range. Any experienced driver with a clean record should be in that range these days.

What is the best cents per mile to be paid to a lease op
-
I still call BS. I haven't come across one OTR company yet that offers .55 a mile. Only company's that pay that are LTL carriers. What's even more funny is you living in Florida claiming any good driver should get that nowadays, lol, Florida sucks for pay! I lived there 20 years so I know what I'm talking about. You won't get anywhere close to .45 never mind .55 for OTR out of Florida unless you work for Crete
-
Roadcall Melton pays $.46 cpm regardless of where you are out of so it is possible.
-
Yes and like I mentioned Crete/Shaffer hires out of there too and pay better than Melton but 95% of the companies that hire out of Florida are CHEAP. I realize the freight out of there sucks and that's part of it but even local jobs in Florida don't pay worth a dam, in any industry.
The point is a comment was made that .55 a mile is nothing special nowadays, most experienced drivers with a clean record should be making that according to fortycal. Thats funny! -
My comment was in response to your "you won't get anywhere near $.45 living in Florida unless you work for Crete" comment. I simply stated that we start at $.46 cpm. Maybe Crete pays more but I don't want to be a lazy door swinger so I'll never know.
-
True, I'm sure there are a few others too, but in general Florida is a low wage state. Most companies don't pay .45 a mile out of Florida, never mind .55
-
I hear D Mosley pays pretty good. %, but if you extrapolated the pay from % to $ it would be worthwhile.
-
That's bro

I don't have time to argue. Here you go, and they are training company no less out of FL. If all you're looking at is the truckstop mags and trucking companies with thousands of trucks you deserve what you get.
