New Camera System Coming to all company trucks.

Just talked to a Swift recruiter. Once a year I put out an app on those websites. Just to see what's out there. According to him, no knowledge of cameras (of course not) and 45 CPM. something tells me his pants are full of it.

 

Now that's funny! No knowledge of cameras my buttocks.

 

Yeah right. Why did it come up on the Qualcomm and a video is the first thing you see when you log into Swift Drivers Portal. My hubby got a message from Driver Leader claiming he has a "trade truck" all of a sudden. I believe they are trying to strand us at Memphis terminal because of over idling. Our car is in another terminal up north. They could want us to get a truck with a camera. No idea why, he is OTR Driver. No accidents. He hardly makes any money. Low miles every week, and nasty driver leader. Won't let him change terminals either. Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

umm... what? I don't get the comparisons here at all.

I have yet to hit the road. But I just got done watching that Wyoming vid on youtube from yesterday.

I WANT A CAMERA IN MY TRUCK.

There are ALOT OF GUYS that did THE RIGHT THING.... about to loss careers IF THEY DO NOT FIND A LINK TO THAT!

If that idiot was not out there filming that, where would those guys be... what about the guys that are not internet savy.
This video may save the careers of the guys in the middle of that ####, that DID THE RIGHT THING! I bet some never find out about it.

I wouldn't be an LEO without a body cam, and I would prefer to have that same thing working FOR ME in this new career!

Plus camera have been on me in just about every job Ive ever had since I was 15 and bagging groceries. So I just really never gave a crap about them, but I certainly find the VALUE in them.

In fact I have been upset its taking me so long to get a gopro camera mounted to my motorcycle. I just cant figure out the best way to mount it.... and maintain the clean look of my bike. I feel almost like Im riding without insurance... surrounded by all the stupid on the roads nowdays and that system not yet installed.

I'm not going to stop riding... I'm not scared to start trucking...

But if stupid reaches out and snatches me one day.... I want that video proving just how ridiculous it was!!

No i don't. A camera wouldn't save their careers. Slowing down would have.

 

There were several that WERE going slow... that stopped with plenty of care and distance... that got slammed by others!!

Granted I am inclined to believe there was no reason to be rolling in that mess... but some of those guys were doing it correctly!!!

And most of them were not!
