Yep I spoke with Ann today and she said everything is all set and to just keep her informed when I'm in school. Looking forward to it for sure. I have zero worries about the academic part at all.... I just hope I have no issues with maneuvers. I know it takes time but that's exactly why I chose ptec.... For the better training. I've driven big box trucks plenty, just not a tractor trailer. I'm sure I'll do just fine though.
H.O. Wolding is a GREAT company!

Wolding drivers...... Curiosity question... Can you take home time anywhere you want?? Like, if you live in Florida, but you have family in the Northeast you want to visit??
-
Yeah, they don't like you doing it like EVERY weekend, but they do try to get you where you want to go. Northeast would be pretty easy, they haul a lot of freight out there.
-
Thats cool. Yeah it would only be a couple times a year. Nice that they have freight lanes up that way so I could do that. Does that go for ALL drivers??....like say a southeast regional driver could request that?
-
Yup, as long as it's not too far out of route to go somewhere. There pretty accommodating. Sometimes, if you're headed towards someplace cool you can ask to take your reset there. It doesn't always work out, but never hurts to ask.

Just finished reading this entire thread and decided to join up. I've got orientation set up for June 2nd. I live in Mississippi and will be doing the southeast region. I'm looking forward to it.
-
How is orientation going?
-
Was wondering how orientation went? I'm considering applying there myself. Any positive/negative feelings so far? Are you an O/O or company driver?
-
Im curious about the pay. Anyone have details about starting pay after training? Think i recall being told it was pretty low.

. 32 cents a mile for students, after 6 months it goes up to .34 cents a mile. After a year it goes higher...crunchy Thanks this.
