I won't get on here and totally bash Bridger but also by no means will I give them any kind of Praise. If you are interested in hauling crude oil my suggestion to you is not to be a lease operator. There are plenty of companies paying good enough money you can make close enough if not more without all the headache that comes with being a lease operator. I started with Southern Energy in the beginning and managed to make it until recently, I'll just say this it's not what it was and the money has only gone down the bigger they get.

The Bigger they got the more disorganized they became to the point it became impossible to run a business of one truck let alone the fleet I had all while Julio seems oblivious to the fact while running around on there goodwill bike tours

The biggest problem I would have with Bridger is the monthly payouts. If I understand this correctly, you could have close to or even more than $50k revenue on the books before you are paid. I don't trust any company, large or small, to hold that much of my money.

I've owned a few trucks. Its not wise to let other folks hold YOUR money. Somehow...sooner or later... most of them seem to find a way of keeping it. It is and then again it is not about you being able to float your business for that long. Its about you getting the money that YOU earned in YOUR pocket asap so that someone else doesn't squander it. It happens...it happens a LOT....especially in an industry that is currently deflating. Just an opinion.

You don't have to have a certain amount on the books. They pay once a month on the 23rd. If you start on the first of the month it will be the next month on the 23rd before your paid.

Which means you would have 7 weeks of revenue payable to you...on the books...before you see a penny. Bridger is large and likely good for the money. A lot of that money stays with them as well..per contract. I just prefer a quicker settlement. Keeps it simple. Once my money is in my account...then its all good. The sooner, the better.

true and for them you are a money generator as everything is marked up on you but they really are not holding your money as they bill for the previous month to shell on the about the 5th and they get paid on the 20th and then payout on the 23rd most of the outfits that pay out faster are factoring it to do so
the payout and bill cycle was the industry standard for the last 20 yrs some traders are speeding it up but as the over and shorts are not calculated tell the end of the month it is hard to do and Bridger pays on corrected BBLs

Agreed. There are, no doubt, reasons why they have their system set up that way...and I doubt that they are gonna change it. I just prefer a company that gets me paid for my efforts asap. I prefer to have my money in my account. Then if they fail to collect, or fail to manage their business properly, its on them. I got mine.

Now...if we're talking about a company with really, really good rates and after a few months I can consider that unpaid revenue to be house money...sure, I can play that. But I'm not hearing numbers on here that would lead me to believe that that is the case.

So anyway, no need to discuss what isn't going to change. I just wanted throw in a little something for people to think about. It's not the best scenario when the little guy is waiting for the big guy to pay up. Some times it doesn't work out.

There changing to paying every two weeks. Don't know how it's gonna work out,but getting paid every two weeks is in the works.

They have been saying that for 2 years. It will be fine for people not on their fuel card but for those who are they will make fuel estimates which took Taylor awhile to get right. Alot of pissed off drivers. Honestly getting paid monthly was the least of the concerns at Bridger.

I don't mind getting paid once a month. They've been paying me once a month since 2013,so I've adjusted to it.
