My experience with jct while brief last summer showed me they weren't professional. ...down right ignorant in my opinion. ...

JCT is not a fit for everyone, that's for sure. But if you can manage your business, control expenses, money is definitely to be made here. Fuel purchasing is your biggest factor along with the MPG you get. If you can maintain over 8 MPG, you've got it made.
88 Alpha Thanks this. -
Sure money is made at JCT, and my advice is compare, compare, COMPARE!!!
And ask yourself, are you really a business if you can't pick your loads and control how much revenue you make, the ONLY way to increase your earnings at JCT is by FUEL MANAGEMENT ONLY. You will be planned just like a company driver.
I say contact the recruiter and talk to Schneider Financial then talk to JCT recruiting and don't even try to talk to leasing because there's no need, not a ounce of daylight between the two, The ONLY way that you'll be a Owner Operator at JCT is because you will pay all the expenses, but you won't have a say about anything else. Finding Schneider and learning about their program was the best thing.I learned alot at JCT the main lesson was what I don't want from a lease partner.
You should ask these drivers exactly what is good money to them because everyone's definition is different.
For me I need AFTER taxes of $1000 a week any less I may as well be a company driver, because any 2+ year company driver is making $1000 a week.poppapump1332 Thanks this. -
That's awesome info Damonevrvy6yvv8....just a quick question, how long have you been driving for Schneider? Sounds like you're making a killing there.

Just think about it, with their fuel discount you can save $100 a week on fuel, trucks not governed, and low rears like 2.65 or something, so you can complete loads quicker without compromising fuel economy.
My truck has 0 miles, APU, and 790 a week with only 110 a week for maintenance deductions. JCT maintenance is by the mile along with the payment, Schneider will let you take the trick to an outside carrier, JCT will just cancel your lease.
Want a new truck at JCT GOOD LUCK they switch out older trucks first just like any company fleet, not as you the leasee wants considering you are paying for it.
Want a new truck at Schneider after your year turn it in and get a new one, or extend the lease for another year, you have choices of a business owner that are not present at JCT at all.Last edited: Apr 24, 2015
