Picked up a 225 mile shipment. Got to the shipper and had problems with pickup number. One hour later got the right numbers. Could not factor the load because factor said payment was greater than 50+ days.
Asked for a quick pay on Monday after delivery. The following Wednesday called and asked about quick payment. The reply was we got the paper work in the mail Monday we will cut check Friday. 14 day quick pay? Not quick! -
That's great ... ty. How about a link so I can find it a bit ezer. Thanks.

I have applied and approved to work for COTC but feel a little reluctant for some reason. I need more info that I feel the recruiter isn't giving me...He has answered most questions but Im not getting an answer of the cpm rate I would begin at...I have a pretty good gig now where i'm home everyday but have to work nights 2330-0900 roughly and sleep most of the day. I have weekends off too. The heavy haul division at COTC gets you home on the weekends so I would shoot for that. Also, Employye insurance is paid !00% at COTC which would save me $135 a mo. Family rate is $180 a week compared to $1200 a mo at current job. The idea of tarping is not so fun looking in my eyes but they pay you for it so that helps. I need some detailed info from ANY current drivers from COTC...Please HELP!

If you haven't had your questions answered yet you can sure give me a call. I've worked for Central Oregon Truck since 2003 and I currently drive on the quad fleet. 541.306.0906
tdawginahwa Thanks this. -
So, tdawginahwa, did you make the move? Oranges99, how scared of the physical should I be?

The link "okiedokie" posted up is a thread that seems pretty accurate! over 90% of the loads are tarped so slackers need not apply. If you can park in the back row and make it to the chicken buffet, then back to your truck you will easily pass the physical test.
Physical test: grab a 3 rail tire chain, do 10 squats, 10 lunges, and walk around a semi trailer. flip a rolled up lumber tarp end over end from the end of a trailer to the middle. My Mom could do it, and she passed on several years ago.

Lol. What about 34 year olds with enough degenerative disc disease to make 60 year old happy his back isn't as bad? Complements of the Marine Corps of course.
