Yeah, just cuz they work there does NOT mean they know what they are doing. When I added tanker endorsement on my license my Hazmat endorsement fell off my license. I generally don't trust anyone and caught it before I left their desk, had to explain to her that all it was showing was tanker on the license. She apologized and added my X designated Hazmat/Tanker.
When I went to submit my title application for my truck after purchasing they wouldn't even take it at the DOR local office. They said if I wasn't getting plates I'd have to drive it to the state capitol in Topeka 50 miles west. WHAT???!!!! I ended up mailing it in and called the nice lady in Topeka why I had to mail it. She said they were wrong at the local office and should have taken my application and $12 filing fee.
Louisiana wont let me register trucks

this isnt the dmv I am doing all this through IRP office and yes im sure it is bad communication on there part I have called 4 different times and got 4 different answers and then went there in person guy just called me from IRP office yesterday and i asked again now hes telling me driver can register his truck he just has to give a Louisiana address but we can just use companies address supposedly they wont ask for proof of his address we shall see.

As I told you before if you allow the o/o to get that plate in his name in your state and you pay for it WHEN he quits in 3 months he still has a good plate to run on that is paid for DO NOT do that.....if you can't figure it out right now just don't offer a "plate program"....if that IRP registration is in his name its his plate...if you can't sign a guy who has the ability to save $2200 (Ohio rate) he will probably take more advances than he makes anyway.....it's obvious you dont have enough info and we don't know LA laws enough to try and help youNavigatorWife Thanks this.

yah, the companies address. you don't put the driver's address on your plate.
Look, there are companies that handle this for you. I really think you should hire one.Aggravated Owner Thanks this. -
who are they? Because I'm not to long before I'm gonna have to jump threw these same hoops as afterburner. Yep, northwest La. resident, too.

Google would be your friend.

believe me Google is not my friend when it comes to this
Aggravated Owner Thanks this. -
Yeah, some times it is, other times it isn't. Can't you just give a Easter egg of, "WHO" these said companies are? A simple answer is a lot more effective and helpful than, "Google is your friend".
Google could tell me how to build a jet engine, rather have input from an actual aeronautical engineer. -
Ummmm we don't live in Louisiana you guys do....Google is just 2015 speak for do some research
I'm willing to bet if I put forth minimum effort I could have the correct answers in 24 hours and I'm an idiot so I'm sure you guys can do it -
Sometimes minimum effort is to much.truckon Thanks this.
