My friend Erica works for Prime Tanker. She had to lease to get her route, she does like it but it's a lot of work. She does more paperwork in a day than I do in a week. And she still has to drive the same as me, for about 12k more a year than I make pulling a dry van. All in all I'd say it's probably not worth it, given that she is under a lease and doing so much extra work on top of pulling a tanker. I could make that 12k more a year if I pulled tanker without a lease, somewhere like Groendyke or CTL.
Also just throwing this out there, you could consider Gemni (think it's Gemni) they do fuel hauling for Loves. Those Boys and Girls love their jobs, I always end up talking to one when I fuel up at a Loves.

Thank EVERYONE for your help but this drug test thing just really got me kinda down right now. Please know that I really appreciate all of your support and am praying as I type this that EITHER company accepts me at this point. I am no drug addict heck my birthday was a few days ago and did nothing but look for work and surf the net. But something will work out because we are all still here for a reason. Now I just gotta find mine!

I want to be a love's or Flying J tanker driver eventually. Seems like it's a pie job but gotta get some experience 1st honey lol. But trust when mama finishes paying her dues she will have a great job that she's always wanted. I hope your friend gets better at Prime tho. As I already said, nev would I do a lease as a newbie but some are built for it. If she's paying the bills and making a profit she's successful so maybe the longer she does it the better she'll get at it. -
Better get that valium out of your system before trying to change jobs then make sure whoever you choose doesn't do a hair follicle test. Tanker companies won't deal with that even with a prescription.
-
I don't blame you there,I did otr solo for 9 yrs.Don't think I could ever team unless it was with my man.
-
Can you be more specific about the prescription issue? Are you saying no tanker company will take you if you have a prescription of any kind? What about blood pressure meds?
-
So it's a no go with Prime as expected but Knight said yes just bring prescriptions. I will just do my year there and then look for a way to train as a tanker somewhere. So it still worked out. And They said getting me home for his graduation in the middle of June was no prob so will just do my few weeks with a trainer and stay out til then to ensure no excuses.
Lonesome Thanks this. -
Congratulations!

CountryGal; Could you please send me a Private Message? I too used to do Expedite, and years before that I pulled tankers.
